Singpass is Singapore’s national digital identity system.

It enables secure access to online services provided by government agencies and selected private institutions. For international students, Singpass functions as your official digital identity while residing in Singapore.

When to Register

Students may register for Singpass after receiving their Student Pass and FIN (Foreign Identification Number).

Registration Guide

1. Access the Official Website

Visit the official Singpass website via your browser:
www.singpass.gov.sg

Select “Register” to begin the process.

2. Provide Personal Information

You will be required to enter:

Full name (as shown in passport)

FIN number

Student Pass approval date

Ensure that all details match your official immigration records before submission.

3. Facial Verification

As part of identity authentication, you will complete a facial verification process.

Follow the on-screen instructions carefully to complete this step. This verification supports identity confirmation with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority.

4. Set Your Password

Once identity verification is completed, your FIN number and registered name will be displayed.

Confirm that the details are accurate before creating a secure password.

5. Review and Confirm

Review the information entered to ensure consistency with your official documents.

Select “Proceed to set up account” to continue.

6. Verify Mobile Number and Email Address

To activate your Singpass account, you must provide:

A Singapore mobile number

A valid email address

You will receive One-Time Passwords (OTP) via SMS and email. Enter the codes as prompted to complete verification.

7. Account Activation

Once verification is successful, your Singpass account will be activated.

You may then use it to access government digital services.

Downloading and Logging In

After completing registration, download the official Singpass mobile application from your device’s app store.

Log in using your FIN number and the password you have created.

For security purposes, do not share your Singpass credentials with others.

Singpass will support access to essential services such as immigration records, healthcare services, banking integration and other digital platforms during your stay in Singapore.
